Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the mobile game Kitty Steps (Android package com.rpaha.kittysteps) uses, why, and who it is shared with. Kitty Steps is developed by RPaha ("we", "us"). If you have any questions, write to us at rpaha.games@gmail.com.

1. Information the game uses

Step data

Kitty Steps turns your real-world steps into game progress. With your permission (Android's Physical activity permission), the game reads the step counter built into your device. Step counts are processed and stored only on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. If you deny the permission, you can still open the game, but walking will not advance it.

Game progress

Your cats, items, coins and gems, expeditions, settings, the player name you type and the character you choose are saved in files on your device. We do not run a game server, so we cannot see this data. Please do not use your real full name as your player name.

Gameplay statistics (analytics)

To understand how the game is played and to fix problems, Kitty Steps uses GameAnalytics. It receives:

• gameplay events, for example tutorial progress, boxes opened, cats received, items used, buttons pressed in the store and whether you allowed step tracking;
• session information, such as when a session starts and how long it lasts;
• technical information, such as device model, operating system version, game version and app errors;
• a random identifier that the analytics software creates for your installation, and an approximate country derived from your IP address.

Analytics never uses the advertising ID. Step counts, your player name and precise location are not sent.

Advertising

Kitty Steps can show optional rewarded videos: you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game gift. Ads are delivered by Unity's LevelPlay mediation platform and the ad networks it works with, such as Unity Ads.

Although the game is intended for players aged 13 and over, we treat every player as a child, so the game tells these partners to serve only non-personalized, child-appropriate ads, marks every ad request as child-directed and does not request the advertising ID (the permission that allows access to it is removed from the app). To deliver an ad, show it correctly and prevent fraud, ad partners may still receive limited technical information, such as your IP address, an approximate location derived from it, device identifiers other than the advertising ID, device type, operating system, language, the app's name and how you interacted with the ad.

Purchases

The current version of Kitty Steps does not sell anything for real money. Coins and gems are earned in the game. If real-money purchases are added in the future, Google Play will process the payment and we will never receive your payment details; this policy will be updated first.

What we do not collect

Kitty Steps does not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone input, email address, or any health data other than the device step count described above, which never leaves your device.

2. Who receives data

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.

3. Age and children

Kitty Steps is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. Because younger players may still find the game, we apply child-safe protections to every player, whatever their age: no accounts, no collection of names, emails or contact details, no advertising ID, and only non-personalized ads from partners that follow Google Play's Families requirements.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the age of digital consent in your country. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

4. How long data is kept

Game progress and step data stay on your device until you uninstall the game or clear its data in Android settings. Analytics and advertising partners keep the information they receive for the periods described in their own privacy policies.

5. Your rights and choices

• Step tracking: you can turn the Physical activity permission off at any time in Android settings.
• Ads: rewarded videos only play when you choose to watch them.
• Deleting your data: uninstalling Kitty Steps, or clearing its storage, removes all game data from your device. Because there are no accounts, we usually cannot link analytics data to you, but you can contact us and we will help with any request we are able to fulfil, including asking our partners to delete data. • Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU or UK under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

6. Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running, improving and fixing the game (gameplay statistics and error reports) and in funding it with non-personalized ads. Reading the step counter relies on your permission, which you can withdraw at any time.

7. International transfers and security

Our partners may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. They use safeguards recognised by law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Data sent by the game travels over encrypted connections.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how Kitty Steps uses data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Important changes will also be announced in the game's store listing.
